MEET KAILA

My name is Kaila Jensen and I am a 21-year old who is always up for an adventure, believes laughter is the best medicine, and is curious about the world. I love exploring, taking risks, and learning about new cultures. Currently, I am finishing up my Bachelors degree in Event Planning and Management and Graphic Communication at California Polytechnic State University, located in America's happiest city: San Luis Obispo.

Being raised by world travelers and designers I have the urge to travel as well as a sense of design in my DNA. I have been fortunate enough to have left the country for the first time before I could write complete sentences, exposing me at an early age of an alternate way of life.  In the past ten years, I have explored 3 continents, over 10 countries, and at least 50 cities, making up only 8% of the world, which is why I am seeking to pursue my passion to travel and intern abroad, while developing graphic elements for my website as a way of helping inspire other young people to get out of their comfort zone and see what the world has to offer.

As I am working to make people happy, I am also trying to inspire others to move out of their comfort zones and explore the world through the use of my self-designed and developed website. By combining my knowledge of graphic design and useful information, I hope to provide fellow students the courage and understanding of the importance of exploring a foreign country.

My experiences in Central America, Europe, and Africa have all guided me to finding my true passions in life, taught me valuable lessons, and most importantly gave me the travel bug.  I am so thankful to say that I will be returning to my favorite city, Copenhagen, for three months this summer.

When I am not traveling around foreign countries, I am exploring San Luis Obispo, a hidden gem of California that I am lucky enough to call home.

I hope by sharing my travel adventures, mishaps, and tips I have acquired from my own experiences, that I can inspire other young college-aged students to jump out of their comfort zone and travel the world.

Happy Reading!

XOXO,
